Rosehill NCLD Lite Trial Along Madeira Drive, Brighton

August 6, 2024

A series of Rosehill NCLD Lites (Narrow Cycle Lane Defenders) have been installed along Madeira Drive in Brighton as part of a trial by the local council to improve safety for cyclists. These barriers will reduce the likelihood of vehicles accessing the cycle lane, providing physical protection that enhances cyclists’ safety and confidence when commuting along Brighton’s seafront.

The NCLD Lite is a shorter version of our Narrow Cycle Lane Defender, with the same width of 235mm and height of 130mm but only half the length at one meter. This reduction in length brings the weight of the NCLD Lite down to 24kg, making it easier to lift and set up. These barriers are ideal for transforming thoroughfares into protected cycle lanes, promoting cycling and contributing to healthier, more active communities.
