Constantine Street in Oldham is a long, straight, and steep road which sees motorists regularly exceeding the speed limit, creating a danger not only to other road users but also to pedestrians accessing the adjoining park.
To help combat the problem, Oldham council installed a series of our solid rubber speed cushions and traffic islands, leading to significant reductions in the average speed of vehicles travelling down the road.
Designed and manufactured in the UK, our speed cushions and traffic islands are made from recycled tyre rubber, making them a sustainable alternative to concrete or bitumen. Like all our products they are surface-mounted and require no excavation, minimising disruption while saving time and money.
